? Dale Lake, doctor of veterinary medicine, has joined the team at Mountain View Veterinary Hospital in Vancouver. He has experience with advanced orthopedic surgery, including TPLO surgeries for stifle ligament injuries in dogs and internal fixation for complicated fractures. He also has advanced training and capability in endoscopy and laparoscopy, which are minimally invasive procedures.
? Jon Fulton has joined Vancouver-based MacKay Sposito as an engineer-in-training on the firm's design group. In this role he will prepare road, culvert and other project design plans for the company, which consults in energy, public works and land development. Fulton received his bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from the Oregon Institute of Technology. Fulton will report to the firm's Vancouver office.

Scott and Patty Carroll of Business Outcomes Consulting in Vancouver will head The Resource Network's March 13 presentation on the topic of "Emotional Intelligence" related to personal productivity and profit. The Carrolls are husband-and-wife consultants with extensive sales training and leadership experience. ? The Children's Center, a nonprofit mental health agency serving the needs of children, youth and families in Clark County, has added Roman Schauer to its board of directors. He joins 12 other community leaders to form the policymaking body of the Children's Center.
??Bob Varner will become temporary manager of the Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument beginning March 11. He is currently a district ranger for the Umatilla National Forest in Eastern Oregon and Washington. Tauhir Jones will also begin in March as the monument's public affairs officer. Jones has more than 13 years of private-sector experience in strategy, business development and marketing.
? Clark County Food Bank has selected Melinda Berg as the director of development. Berg was most recently assistant vice president and branch manager for Sterling Bank for 10 years.

??Timberline Lodge has been accepted into the Historic Hotels of America, a program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The lodge is recognized for preserving and maintaining its historic integrity, architecture and ambiance. RLK and Company operates Timberline Lodge, which was built in 1937 to be an alpine ski lodge.
??Pritchard Orthodontics will celebrate its ninth anniversary in Battle Ground from 4 to 5 p.m. March 7 at its office at 2404 W.
